This was more or less 'it'. After years of effort and practice we eventually crafted a handful of songs we deemed worthy to form an actual album. There was once allegedly* a place called The Wire in Upland where we would often get bent over by their pay-to-play requirements and occasionally play some cool shows. This album was recorded in its entirety over two days at the Wire.
After recording finished we reached out to the venue to get the DAT files so we could mix and master the album to which they responded: "It has already been mixed by our engineer." which were terms we never agreed upon. The mix sounded horrible and we were dejected at the prospect of their demands for money and our dissatisfaction with a lack luster recording of songs we cared about. We denied their demand for more money and these recordings went lost for a decade. We tried to post unmastered version on MySpace shortly after they were made, but the money hungry forces at the Wire demanded I take them down. I never responded.
10 years on, the Wire went out of business and this is what will be the first and final release of Lifeless Animation. It has been mixed and mastered to the best of its abilities on a single channel.
Thank you to all our friends who inspired us, played with us, and bands/venues that gave a bunch of kids the chance to rock.
*Our lawyers advised us to recognize the alleged nature of their existence.
